Gribbles Butchers - Ivybridge

Gribbles Butchers have opened a new delicatessens next to their existing shop in Fore Street, Ivybridge. Situated in the heart of Devon – one of the best agricultural regions in the UK – Gribbles Butchers is a well-established and friendly West Country Butchers operating in accordance with a simple ethos.

Allsop & Pitts design brief was to design a kitchen within the existing shop area using a mixture of new and used equipment. Owner Mark Gribble particularly wanted to incorporate a Rational Combi Oven after he came to see our 'Live Cooking Demonstration' within our showroom in Torquay. Gribbles Butchers has a staff of over twenty including ten full time, experienced and skilled butchers. All use the traditional hands-on methods of hanging, butchering and preparing meat with no mechanical processes involved. In addition, all of Gribbles sausages, burgers, bacon and gammons are freshly made by hand on the premises, so having a kitchen that worked well was imperative!
